Jack white has the cerebrally energized sativa focus that its parent Jack Herer is known for, but wrapped in a more relaxed state that eases the body and so eases the mind.
Jack White reminds me of the time when The Rolling Stones played on a flatbed truck that drove down the middle of New York City in the middle of a busy day to promote a new tour.
The Stones didn’t originate this, much like their music on the whole, African-American Jazz and Blues bands (in the south mostly) were they original geniuses behind this idea.
The stones had a nice comfortable ride to cruise on while they rocked out atop the truck’s flatbed, but they didn’t have to worry about having a stable ride on which to do it.
Jack White by ForwardGro is sort like Jack Herer with a touch of Indica that creates a physically soothing foundation atop which the mind is propelled into focused action.
EFFECTS (MIND + BODY):
MIND; Jack Herrer’s genetic influence is unmistakably dominant with Jack White
- +Increased ability to focus [STANDOUT EFFECT]
- +immediate uptick mood
- +sparks of new ideas transition into motivation and then action
- +Airy “Head buzz” feeling overall that tends to increase willingness to socially interact
^^at higher dose/IMO
BODY; although leaning more toward the cerebral Jack White presents a noticeable level of White Widow genetics
- + inner warning feeling / emanating from solar plexus/sternum area out to shoulders and arms
- +mild ocular pressure
- -/+ mild increase in appetite w/ successive sessions ^^
- -dry “cotton” mouth+ Dry eyes ^^
- +/- mild sedation and heaviness of body that will not induce sleep but could possibly present some mental-haze (“Haze-Daze)
- -/+made me feel somewhat lighter in weight which reminded me of the first few experiences with cannabis where I was feeling and reacting to what I perceived to be real/tangible physical stimuli but were really a type of THC perception distortion **
^^ at higher doses/IMO

APPEARANCE, AROMA, + TASTE:
APPEARANCE;
The eighth of Jack White was comprised of small to medium sized buds which were quite dense.
There was a very small amount of give when squeezing the buds gently but they were not spongy per se…Just the correct amount.Jack White strongly favors its Herer genetics with its optics overall.
This is especially true for the finer characteristics like the stigma/pistils/“hairs” which are thin, spindly, and a deep rusty red color. They peak out randomly in smaller formations in between the greenery, which also includes a deeper purple color in sporadic doses.
At this point White Widow takes over in the trichome coverage department, as the buds seem to have been dipped in a blanket of tiny, crystalline trichome snow.
Both parents’ genes (Jack Herer -and White Widow) are on display here. While the majority of the leaf and stigma material resembling Jack Herer, the blanketed milky trichome coverage here is attributable to White Widow.
PACKAGING:
Like Curio, ForwardGro has done little to update their packaging in quite awhile.
All the same it works- although it is a bit chunky- and a bit diff to situate in pockets because of its cylindrical form.
They could probably go a long way to preserving the freshness of their flower if they included a Boveda pack like Grow West.
Thank goodness Grow West does include a Boveda pack with every pre-pack of flower they sell, because I use them for all of my other strains.
Good For Bowls and Rolls: This batch of Jack White was easy enough to break down manually, but I did use a grinder when I rolled a joint.
Jack White’s buds burn slowly and this definitely stretches the dollar a decent amount. It is a slow burn for the most part.
The smoke from ForwardGro’s Jack White is quite heavy and tends to linger a bit in a semi-hash-flavored thickness. The Occimene levels in this batch almost guarantee a bit of coughing.
AROMA:
- Sweet-strawberry cream
- Herbal- lemon /lemon pepper
- Artificial- Pixie Stick/ Strawberry Quick-like aroma
TASTE:
- Fuel- some faint diesel-like taste on exhale
- Pungent – grapefruit-type spike
A CLOER LOOK INSIDE…
There is high concentration of Limonene and beta-Caryophyllene both being nearly .40% (.39% to be exact) and this is what is really setting the mood here with Jack White.
The cerebral uplift can be attributed to the Limonene, while the relaxing body high can be attributed to the Caryophyllene.
Ocimene, which is known to modulate or enhance the psychoactive properties of THC is high here at .18%.
CONCLUSION:
Jack White is a Sativa dominant sativa Indica hybrid of two infamous strains, one a lightening rod cerebrally energized sativa capable of maximizing focus, Jack Herer (named after the author) and Indica giant White Widow, who’s potent physically euphoric effects create a solid foundation for the cerebral energy to freely flow.
THE LONG ROAD HOME (…my toke)
Jack Herer is all about focus. The first time I was in 2013 and at that time it was the first time that I had ever had exposure was in about 2014. I immediately fell in love with what I perceived to be a reunion with a strain I already knew. I don’t know for sure, and I never could prove that was the case.
But at the time, the effect was so similar and the nostalgic aroma of pine and lemon and some unknown sour spices almost diesel sent brought back memories of a strain that maybe I had never even had.
Jack White made me nostalgic for a strain that strain again, given the climate of pre-legalized taxonomy may, or may not have been, Jack Herer in the first place…But, from what I recall it is very similar…just a bit more “stoney”.
Another thing is that I never would’ve thought Jack White capable of increasing my appetite to the degree that it does.
But, still even with these Indica traits, Jack White remains predominantly a Herer-like in my opinion.
Jack White by ForwardGro is sort like Jack Herer with a touch of Indica which serves as a physically soothing base for the mind to be propelled into focused action.
I would, and will, most definitely purchase this strain again. It served me well, because the physical high did not sedate me, it just made me feel more relaxed inside and only enhanced the cerebral effects.
